WHAT HAPPENS IF A PRODUCT IS NOT CERTIFIED?
If your product is not certified, it cannot be sold in some markets. Certification is often a tender requirement, meaning sometimes companies won’t even be able to tender for a sale. if an uncertified product does go to market, it risks forced recalls being issued. Your product will be deemed non-compliant and unsafe. And for your business this means organising the return of all ‘unsafe’ products, whilst having to offer refunds or replacements. Ouch.

WHAT IS A DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY?
An EU declaration of conformity (DoC) is a mandatory document that you as a manufacturer or your authorised representative need to sign to declare that your products comply with the EU requirements. By signing the DoC you take full responsibility for your product’s compliance with the applicable EU law.
